Could relate to a lot of it because I lived in suburbia so had access to things that remote or farm kids wouln't
Great read, finished 60's book, halfway through 70's. Certainly brought back memories for me. Just a tad disappointed there wasn't more Brisbane content. All in all, a well written book. As Molly would say, do yourself a favour and buy it.
Well written, in an easy to read format, it invokes many happy memories for those of us old enough to have lived through this decade. It is even a great momento to give to my grandkids so they can know the world as it was when I was a kid.
Loved the book all about the 60s as they were the years I grew up from 13 to 23 into my married life in 1968.
Most pages made me smile as I remembered the things that happened along the way.
I was originally attracted to the book as I was a marching girl from 1959 to 1968 and I marched at the opening ceremony of the Commonwealth Empire games in Perth in 1962. Was hoping there would be more about that era but I could relate to everything that was written.
