Thought there would be illustrations
A present for a special friend. I flicked through it quickly and it looks fascinating. I can't wait til he reads it, so I can borrow it.
Great very interesting to know what hasd happened in the year that I was born
The whole idea of these books is, I think , excellent and can make a wonderful and personal gift .
However , as mentioned in other reviews , I was disappointed that information was not backed up with a lot of photos . I also think a hard cover would be more suitable and a larger size book .
Personally , I would only order again if these improvements were made . Thank you .

Disappointed, books bought as birthday gifts. There is a lot of information, but no images/photos. Not what I had hoped for.

Was out of stock for weeks but when it arrived I was not disappointed. A great read for my husband.
I think there is a lot of information of the time but disappointed that there are no photos. Expensive too. I just hope that my friend appreciates it for her 70th birthday.

Born in 1955 is absolutely fabulous. It was given at a 70th Birthday present and everyone wanted to know where I got it from. will certainly be recommending this site and will be buying for of these for birthday presents it is a fabulous idea for older people. Well done.

Hubby loves it. He’s read from cover to cover was amazed at how many things are actually similar today. I’ve not read mine yet but plan on purchasing more for my kids first Xmas
I love the book and I think my friend will love it too. It has alot of great and interesting information in it. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is that I would have liked to see some pictures/photos in the book too.

Fabulous presentation and lots of great information about the times of 1955
I purchased this book for a friend's birthday. But I don't think I'll bother giving it to him. From start to finish, it's disappointing. The biggest disappointment was; not a single photo in the whole book. They show a couple of enticing photos on the cover and then...... nothing. Definitely works not recommend these books.
